Using it safely

Clip a long line to a harness rather than a collar — at this length a dog hitting the end at speed puts real force through the attachment point, and a harness spreads that across the chest. Wear gloves if your dog is strong; nylon moving fast through a bare hand burns. And keep the slack gathered rather than trailing where it can wrap a leg, yours or anyone else's.
